VIDCO is a Non-Profit oriented company incorporated under Section 8 of the Companies Act 2013 functions with the sole aim to serve the people for their Social and Cultural upliftment and take part in the development of the Nation with the help of Community Social Responsibility initiatives of Corporates in our country. The Company’s area of activity is limited to Varandarappily Panchayath in Thrissur District, Kerala. Section 8 of the Companies Act 2013 says that the profit of the company will not be shared among the Share Holders. All the profit amount is intended to be disbursed among the public of Varandarappilly Panchayath to achieve its objectives. The development of the infrastructure to create more employment opportunities among the people of Varandarappilly Panchayath so as to support the Local Self Government is another objective of this company which can ensure better living for the people through the Community Social Responsibility Scheme, of Corporates.

VISION

After independence, we have achieved a lot through our elected Governments but the wide shortage of resources in the areas of Nutritious Food, Drinking Water, Shelter Cloth Education(Skill development), Employment, Health Care, Environmental Awareness, Communal Harmony Cultural Integrity, Social Infrastructure, etc. is a reality. Non-compliance with Income Tax has become our fashion and lifestyle both in respect of Direct and Indirect Tax. Poor compliance leads to poor public performance creating a vicious circle of systematic underdevelopment. Charity and training are one of the solutions to come out of this vicious circle in which Charitable Organizations and Welfare Associations play an important role as mediators between the Donor and Beneficiary. And that is why the forefathers of our Nation incorporated Directive Principles of State Policy in our Constitution as well as other Tax Exemption proposals in the subordinate Legislations as Section 80(G) of the Income Tax Act 1961. Tax is the price paid to the State for the welfare of the people.Every 100 rupees Tax brings back only 20% rupees of welfare to the people. Whereas Direct Charity gives 100% welfare to the people. Because of the overriding nature of a profit-driven market economy, the gap between the rich and poor is widening day by day. The co-existence of any number of genuine welfare associations is justified to reduce this gap to a certain extent.Hence,we hereby resolved to join together to serve the people at our level and limit.
